90 Day Renewal For Type O In Nong Bua Lamphu

Featured Replies

Just about ready to do my first-ever 90-day renewal on my Non-Immigrant "O" Visa. I'm in the Nong Bua Lamphu Area of Isaan and do not know exactly where to go to do the renewal. Also, what do I need to take with me besides my wife and my passport/visa?

There is no 90 day renewal.

If you have a Multi Entry Non O Imm Visa you need to leave the Country and return to get another 90 days.

If you have a single entry.

You can apply for a 12 month extension at immigration if you meet the financial requirements.

You can apply for a 60 day extension at Immigration.

You can apply for another Non Imm O Visa at a Thai Consulate in a neighbouring Country.

EDIT.

It appears you have a Multi Entry.

You need to exit the Country and enter another Country.

You can then turn round and come back again for another 90 days.

Your Wife does not have to go with you.

Believe there is a seldom used bridge in Tha Li district of Loei Province or you can go to Nong Khai for the crossing.

Thanks, Lite Beer and lopburi3. I guess I'm going on my first visa run. The bridge at Tha Li sounds interesting. Anybody got any info about that crossing? Also, I remember years ago you could boat over to Lao for a day trip from Chiang Khan. Still possible?

When crossing to Lao you have to cross at a point that has the visa on arrival office so that you can be stamped as entering Laos. Info about crossings that can be used here http://www.tourismla...t.php?contID=10 .

Thanks again, guys. The crossing north of Tha Li will be perfect for me. I've read the links you posted for me and it seems like a really mellow crossing. Plus, that sleepier side of Lao has intrigued me for quite some time, so I'll be making a weekish trip out of it. cowboy.gif
