Looking For This Cpu - Core 2 Quad Q6700

Anyone know of a local Thai place that has them? I am in Phuket, so traveling is not an option. Online shops do not have it.

Any help much appreciated.

You may have to go with ebay. Better prices and it's seemingly not as readily available retail.

Seems like an expensive chip retail, considering what you get in performance.

My PC contains a Q6700. I built the PC myself years ago and it still works quickly and well. I see no reason to upgrade it at all.

A poster pm´ed me a local shop. They have older cpus and an office where I live, so I am happy puppy. Thanks.

What I am doing is simply upgrading. I do gaming, but not heavy duty stuff (Ghost R, Arma2). Full tower, an older asus P5NE_SLI that will take this older quad core cpu.

I clean my pc twice a year. This year, I am buying a much better power supply (750w, silent, 80 bronze spec., 3400thb), as opposed to a cheaper 600thb 400watt) that goes bad every year, unable to handle the load very well.

With the new(er) cpu Q6600, 3200thb and new power supply at 3400thb, 90thb for thermaltake cpu paste, 40thb bottle of alcohol, a rubber eraser, vacuum, etc etc, I will have a newish computer. No stock on the Q6700.

Will wait a while longer for the ivy bridge stuff. This new update will last a while longer.
