Airgun Import To Thailand

My wife is Thai and she want to import an airgun to Thailand (she is living there permanently). I have checked the Thai customs tariff and section XIX says

that there is 40% tax to pay (9304.00.10).

anyway, this is a restricted article in Thailand and normally a thai must go to the police to have the permission to by this. The problem is that a cheap airgun

will cost more than 40.000 bath when bought leagly in Thailand.

According to Thai customs I have realised that an application must be sent to the Thai ministry of Interior in advance to have the permission for this kind of import. The homepage is only shown in tai and not english, and my wife is for the time beeing not here.

I would appreciate if somebody could provide me with further information.
