Free 0.5 Gb For Mycat Unlimited 3G Plan?

Featured Replies

I was looking at my bill and noticed something interesting near the description of the myClick 590 baht unlimited plan with 4GB fair use cap: 4633.98 MB.

I wasnt sure if it represented what i used or what is allotted every month. I dont remember using more than 1/3 of the 4GB allowance for that billing cycle. 4GB would be 4,096 MB 4.5 GB would be 4608 MB. I'm certainly not complaining; just wanting to see if others say the same?

I take it the extra is given to guarantee the user receives their 4GB of 3g? Do the other carriers do this with their postpaid plans? The prepaid plans do not seem to indicate any "soft" limits.

Not sure I understand what you are asking?

To me it looks like you used 4633.98 MB in total, up and down for the billing period April 1 - April 30. Your plan is "unlimited" so in theory anything over 4,096 MB would be speed limited to 384 Kbps. You would not have to pay anything extra for overages; that's the whole point of an "unlimited" plan *.

Perhaps more interesting is why is the bill 413 baht? Isn't it supposed to be 590 baht? So 631.30 with VAT.

* The users are eligible for unlimited 3G per month (billing cycle) with the speeds of up to 4 GB. After reaching the limit, users are eligible for unlimited 3G with the speed of up to 384 Kbps

That amount was pro-rated for the first month, since i started mid-month. They always end everyone on the last day of the month. I was trying to figure out if that figure was usage, or allotment. I didn't use 1/3rd that amount, so I figured it was allotment, which would mean that CAT in practice gives you an extra 0.5GB, which would be pretty cool.

I am pretty sure it says you used 4633.98 MB, uploading and downloading for the billing period, and you have no allotment per se as this is an unlimited plan. Not sure why this is so difficult to understand? Or why you think they allow some obscure, arbitrary figure. Again it seems clear to me, but maybe you know something we don't?
