TOT to invest Bt10 billion on fixed lines, broadband Internet networks

BANGKOK: -- TOT Plc will spend Bt10 billion this year on paying for the fixed line equipment and extending its broadband Internet network, said TOT's president.

Teerawit Charuwat said Thursday that out of the total expenditure, half would be paid for the suppliers of its equipment for developing 565,000 phone numbers nationwide.

Another Bt1 billion will be for expanding TOT's broadband Internet network as part of its plan to boost the broadband subscriber number to 500,000 within this year, up from the present 200,000.
