Hope I've put the spaces in the right place here but I am very curious about the abandoned building along the north side of the city on the inner ring road near the nw corner. Does anybody know what this place was? I've attached a picture.

Thanks!

I do not know the history of this building, this is another picture and some explanation about architecture of this building.

As I recollect, it was built in the early 1990s and very elaborately decorated in a kitsch pseudo-classical style. Our company used to use an Australian courier firm based in the building next door. It was difficult to understand the motive of the owners. Seemingly they built the house to be notice, and yet apparently not... They didn't welcome attention or photography, and eventually built a high wall to keep onlookers away. I believe they were Sino-Thai, but have no information beyond that as we didn't want to intrude and they clearly wanted privacy. An unusual monument to dubious taste.

There is a plaque inside, indicating a Franco-Thai connection, behind there is a very ornate house with pool, have heard stories of murder most foul, haunted and cursed property. I think it would make a great, resto-bar-club.

This is all interesting as my guess was that it probably belonged to somebody who would have reasons for privacy. A bizarre place and it would surely be interesting to know the full story. Thanks!
