Suspected Drunk Driver injured in single-vehicle road accident in South Pattaya

PATTAYA:--A Thai woman, suspected of being drunk, was lucky to escape with her life after she crashed into barriers left on the side of the road in the early hours of Wednesday.

The single-vehicle accident occurred on the Sukhumvit Road close to the South Pattaya intersection and resulted in minor injuries sustained to the motorbike driver who did not give us her name.

Police confirmed their suspicions she was heavily intoxicated and marks on the road suggested she was travelling at speed and erratically when she clipped one barrier and then fell onto a second barrier.
