I will be in Pattaya for one weekend. Can anyone suggest a cheap (approximately $20 - $50 US per night), clean, decent hotel close to (hopefully within 100 - 300 yards) Walking Street?

Honey Inn comes in at around US$30. Amazingly quiet for the location. Alternatively there is the Windy Inn on Walking Street itself. Rooms from US$30. Beachside pool and access to the beach.

The Jasmine Hotel on soi BJ off Walking St. has decent rooms for B800. Surprisingly quiet considering the location.
