Thai Visa 'home Cooking' Recipe Thread

Recommended Posts

thought this could be fun and useful since we all want to cook and from internet recipes its like from a cook book u never know how it will come out and none of us usually have the exact ingredients, stove, etc...

u could include how or why they add or dont add a particular thing to the recipe (wife likes sweeter, hubby hates plaa raa, etc)....

so far i've taught several kibbutzniks to do bananas in khatee; segue both cold and hot; sweet beans and khatee; joke; etc etc.... the guys here cant tell me how to do things (a bit of this, some of that, etc) but now i pay attention and dare to try.... and my kids are enjoying the experiments (for every dish i make i take out one bowl full for the child that wont touch any type of spice whatsoever, nor eats meat)....

so how bout it????

real, homecooked thai recipes tried and true, as a sort of cookbook thread??? doable????

it could be the thaivisa virtual cookbook

sorry i dont have any good recipes to start with as im a learner here....

tip of the day: dont use sticky rice flour mixed with ghatee and sugar to deep fry sliced yams ONLY use regular rice flour... the sticky rice flour is like dealing with glue paste and doesnt fry the same
