Okey, here is the deal.

I am applying for a Non Immigrant B Visa, I have a sponsoring letter from a company in Phuket - similar to the template found on this site. My intention is to stay for 1 year in/out.

1.) On the application, where it says - Duration of stay ... should it be 90 DAYS or 1 YEAR?

2.) If I get a VISA, do I have to apply for an extension in Thailand after 90 days? Or is it just to reenter the Kingdom and you have 90 more days? (if a multiple one is given)

3.) And where do I indicate that I want a multiple entry visa, there is no such checkbox on the form!?

Sorry - I thought I had it all figured out, then I just get confused.

Thanks a million!

...and : do you have to attach company documents in addition to the sponsor letter? (found some previous posts here who said that - however that was in Stockholm?) Or are they "tuffer" in Scandinavia for any reason? Read some harsh things about Manila as well.

Thanks again!

Each Thai consulate seems to have its own visa application form. Which consulate’s form are you talking about?

The forms I have seen all have a field to indicate the desired number of entries, for example the form of the consulate in Hull, UK.

Reading his previous posts he was looking at Sydney...........unfortunatly cant seem to open up the pdf app doc for the Thai Consulate in Sydney so dont know what it has on it.

I would assume it asks for "type of visa required".........i would simply type Non Imm B Multiple Entry.

I think they will know what you want anyway from the fee you enclose.

Put down 1 year for length of stay...................thats what i was told anyway when i phoned the Consulate in the Uk querying what to put on a Non Imm Multi O app.

If you intend to apply for a 1 year extension of stay when you arrive in Thailand at local Immigration and you are 100% sure of being granted said stay then a single Non Imm B would suffice before coming to Thailand.............this extension would not require you to leave Thailand during the year but merely to report locally every 90 days.

If however you are not 100% sure of being granted the 1 year extension then apply for Multi Non Imm B............this will give you an inital stay of 90 days after which time you must "border run" and re-enter for a fresh 90 day stay stamp...........if you make your last exit the day before the years validity of the visa is up you can make your stay last almost 15 months before needing a new visa.

Just had a quick glance at the Sydney site they lay out what docs are required for the Non Imm B application................my own opinion is the more the better in support of your app.

Next time try to edit your post rather than posting again as Lop says it can get skipped over otherwise.

Hope this helps.

Using a non-standard browser I managed to see the application form (attached): it is indeed rather strange and does not let the applicant indicate either the type of desired visa or the number of entries. I guess they want you to state that in person verbally or in a covering letter.
