Has Air Asia Thailand Gone Titsup? Text Dsays Flights Cancelled

Featured Replies

We have 3 flights in October on Thai AA to C Rai

In Uk I received a text to say all bangkok off.

Or is it now from Don Muang which I know well atr same time please?

Their website unhelpful Uk number off

The text is telling you that there no new bookings or variations made from the 27 to the 29 July to any existing bookings for any Bangkok flights while the system is reconfigured for the move to DM.

Your flights are fine.

Hahaha, good one! The most successful airline of all time in the world, in terms of its meteoric expansion over the past 10 years... And they are adding 277 new planes between now and 2016! No airline in the world can say that. I love Air Asia.

I read somewhere they have problems paying for their fuel at the beginning of the year

it could be that all flights will not be from BKK, but from DMK (Don Muang airport), this is happening from the 01 October.

What does the text actually say?

SMS text as follow:

From 27-29 July 12, all services from AirAsia bookings to/from BKK with travel dates from 1/10/12 will not be available. More info at AirAsia.com or call centres

Bernie Madoff provided spectacular returns for his investors for much longer than that. Enron showed impressive growth while they were still around.

Question is, is Air Asia profitable or living off investor money to grow themselves into oblivion?

The jury is still way out on that question. Will be for awhile. There is a loooonnnng list of low cost carriers we'll never see again.

They are doing some upgrades of their servers, so the website will not be available. Nothing more than that, so best print out your tickets and everything before the 27th or after the 29th
