Acer Specialist (Not Their Service Centre)

Featured Replies

I have an Acer telephone which needs a new battery. Unfortunately the numerous repair shops I tried don't have one, sent me to the service centre and they don't have either, can order one but I'm going away for 10 days tomorrow and it wouldn't arrive before I leave.

Does anyone know of an Acer specialist other than the service centre at Chiang Mai gate (I looked for the service centre on Huay Kaew, couldn't find it, asked at Chiang Mai gate and they said they were the only shop in Chiang Mai)?

Needs to be with regards to mobile phones, I don't have one of their laptops.

I think you may struggle with this, Acer phones are not that popular from what I can tell. Don't know why as they are just HTC's in a different shell lol.

You may have more luck with some of the mobile phone stores in central.

Bearing in mind the comment about HTC's, that could also be an option as there's a good chance the battery is the same too.

The Acer repair center on Huay Kaew (which was worthless anyway) is gone.

That's the one which is now by Chiang Mai gate

Thanks guys. Would seem like I'm going to be without phone for the next 10 days. Un-contactable. A good thing maybe.

Jut another question as I seem to have forgotten. What does one do whilst sat on the toilet if one doesn't have Angry Birds to play?

Can't you just buy another phone and change the sim card?

That's far too easy and simple lol

Read Thaivisa.

Could do, but I have a phone that is fine, just needs a new battery. Why buy something new for 15,000B when what I bought is as good and only needs a new battery for 1500B?

With my phone that doesn't work? Not possible. I did it earlier, pooing without entertainment requires a moment's thought.

That's a bummer - I don't know Acer phones, but if it is Android powered, it should be able to run the Thaivisa app.

I find that sitting on the john is a great place to read TV. Same sh*t, different day.

It is Android, but I need a battery for it, hence the thread.

So you can't possibly do with a 500THB Nokia or Samsung for a few days just to provide basic communication? Rather have no phone than MY phone lol.

Hope you don't get stuck in the toilet lol

No phone will be nice for a few days. I've had a mobile in my pocket for 13 years. This next week will be an experiment. I may even like not being able to be contacted, no Facebook alerts, no email, no calls, no texts.

If I can find a battery in the next 6 hours, I'll buy it, if not never mind.

If you can't find the battery, I'd suggest Ex Lax for the other problem! whistling.gif

Sometimes it really is nice to go out without the distraction of a phone, particularly so if it's a smart phone.

Still, if it were that smart it would have told you were to get a new battery cheesy.gif
