Thai Girlfriend Is Now In Usa With Her B2 Visa...Now How To Keep Her Here?

Featured Replies

My girlfriend recently arrived in America on her 6 month B2 visa. We are not prepared nor do I want to get married at this time(in order to get a marriage visa so she can stay here). I am aware that she can extend(or atleast I think thats how it works) her B2 visa for another 6 months. I have been told she cant simply go to Mexico or Canada and cross the border and get another six months.

Is it best for her to apply here in the USA for another six month extension or should she fly back to Thailand(we have a round trip ticket) and then come back? She cant get an education visa at the moment as we cannot afford for her to go to a college..in addition to the fact that a foreign student has to apply to a US school atleast four months before the semester starts..and the fall semester already starts this month.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Take a look here http://www.path2usa.com/usa-visitor-visa-extension

I would spend some time looking around at this site; it has some good points on do’s and don’ts for an extension.
