Reading On Rainfall

Featured Replies

Talking about Chiang Mai now, does anyone know or is there a link to a chart somewhere, that would show the total amount of rainfall this year to date, vs the same date last year.

Seems to me that I am under some invisible umbrella and never get rain at my place..... the dark clouds come, some thunder at times and then pfffffttttt 10 , 15, miserable drops and the clouds are gone for a couple hours.

I can see over by Doi Suthep rain aplenty but none near me.

This year the rainy season seems very far behind the norm as far as total rainfall......

Anybody know???

Gonzo

It seems that way to me too. Lots of cloudy weather, but not much rain.

June is the latest report as July is not quite over yet. The July report should be coming soon.

It would be hard to judge them. Of course last year had a lot more rain because the season started about three months early. But as for the normal rainy season it would appear not much difference using Dave's figures. A little more last year.

Letsjust hope the Government dosen't decide to empty the dam when it is raining a lot.rolleyes.gif

Agree that there are lots of clouds and little actual rainfall this season here in 'the valley'.

There seems to be a lot of rain in the mountains surrounding CM and that's what fills the resivoirs. Let's just hope that it is managed properly, not like year's past where 'they' released too much too early and levels dropped to 30%.

Any recent sightings of the main resivoirs around the north?? What's the levels??
