August 6, 201213 yr This is a picture of the species of fish most common in the river behind my house. Not much of a sportfish, although the villagers go to great lengths to catch them. They seem to get only to about 20cm long at the most, although I could be mistaken. Mostly they are between 10 and 15cm. Anyhow I would like to learn the name of this fish. Even the Thai name would be helpful.

August 8, 201213 yr Author I have discovered it belongs to the class of true minnows (cyprinids), probably a type of rasbora. Still trying to narrow it down.
