Trading On Set

Featured Replies

Anyone has experience setting up an account with Kasikorn Trading / Securities and know what is the requirement ?

Or maybe someone is using a better trading platform ?

Thanks

I would look elsewhere. They require a rather large cash deposit and ask far too many questions. There are many brokerage firms that require no deposit at all. When you place a trade, the funds are automatically transferred to your brokerage account from your bank account -- or you can transfer the funds in advance of or on the day of the trade. Also you are restricted from global trading at Kasikorn.

There are many, many brokerage firms in Thailand. Maybe do a search in the investment forum. If you only want to trade on the SET, there are endless possibilities. If you want global trading and want to trade using foreign currencies, then there are much fewer options.

Thanks mate !

If I was only trading the SET I may go with Kim Eng or CIMB. Both seemed to have reasonable fees and helpful staff that spoke decent English and knew their stuff. I can't recommend the firm I went with -- yet. It's too soon and I haven't formed an opinion yet.
