Could anyone tell me by which means the British Embassy informs applicants of their settlement interview date/requirement?

Unfortunately for us, my partner lives in an area where mobile phone reception is VERY hit and miss, no internet access is available for emails and I'm not convinced that a postal letter would ever arrive as its so remote.

A realistic indication of how long it usually takes would also be advantageous.

Your fiancée should receive a letter from the embassy stating the date and time of her interview and whether any additional documents are required. If she hasn't heard after about 2 weeks from the date of application, I'd get in touch with the embassy.
