Hi guys, I am a casual photographer so not too certain on the photography scene over here. I am located in chiangmai and unfortunately broke my k-x in a bicycle accident.

Does anyone knows any place where i could get a used k-x in my area? I might be looking at the newer models or perhaps other cameras but im on a comfort zone with my kx, so im not too certain on that

You might try and get hold of a K-r instead - later version of the K-x.
