LivinLOS
I have a large sand filter which has developed a leak and has to be replaced. Its a side mount setup like this And its a fair size.. perhaps a meter diameter and 1.5 meters tall (1.2 meters for the tank 30cm for the base / stand). I am being quoted 37,000 for a tank and sand. Is that a fair price ?? Its not my pool, merely a rented house so trying to solve the issue on behalf of an absent landlord. Theres also some cracks in the gutter overflow causing water loss which is being quoted at 120k for a repair, this strikes me as being very high. scotbeve
Hi Livin, Strangely enough, I had BOTH of those problems as well.... Where exactly is the filter leaking? Is it the top cover flange? My gutters were leaking when I thought the pool settled... Or it could have been the "hydraulic action" of the whole pool from the shallow water table we have. Repaired them ourself using "boon Khao" and anti-fungus additive. Big job tho' Built the pool ourselves / my design... a few mistakes but doable. Good luck...
