August 25, 201213 yr Pattaya's Avenue Shopping Center having failed commercially is being converted into an entertainment center. Word has it that many spicy attractions including Beer Bar's with attractive girls are expected to create a first class entertainment facility complete with a generously sized car park. Anything that members can clarify in respect to this thread will be of great interest to the Foreign community in Pattaya. The fact is that this project appears to be contrary to the stated medium term plan which is to 'clean Pattaya up'.

August 25, 201213 yr Once the bars open, what little hope that magic show had of attracting families is out the window.
August 25, 201213 yr Tha Avenue has had bad days for a while. Anything new to report? How about, more bad days to come?
August 25, 201213 yr Car park and beer bars. I guess the BiB will replace the booths, fee going up to the usual DUI teefare. Pretty convenient as well, the Pattaya balcony diver's club can take membership applications right on the spot, no need to go back to hotel. Really, the place failed from the start when they went with the upscale theme.

I think at ground level the Avenue is OK - Villa, the coffee shops, book-shop, banks, McD's, sports shops, etc are well handy if you live nearby. If they put a few beer bars and discos on the upper floors then I won't complain either.
