Full Body Mri Or Ct Scanning?

Featured Replies

Hey all,

Does anyone have experience with this? I'm 41 and thought it might by nice to get a picture of my insides to see what's what :o

Any ideas on cost and what hospital/clinic performs this would be helpful.

Thanks again for all the great help!

A CT scan to look at my sinuses cost about 5000 baht, but that was a few

years ago.

check the public version of medline and you will find that over the population the large radiation dose from an full body CT with no clinical requirement is not outweighed by any abnormaslity they may be detected.

Remember that a CT is only a fancy XRay machine, and the dose you get is far far greater than, say a chest xray

Yes, a full CT-scan gives you an enormous dose of radiation.

Something you shouldn't get without a very good reason.
