There are two large towers going up either side of the entrance to soi 27; does anyone know what they're going to be?

When I first moved here 5 years ago, the frame of one of the towers was already near completion but then work stopped for more than 3 years before work began on a new tower on the opposite side of the soi last year.

Anyway, just curious if anyone knows what it'll eventually be.

I read on a different forum that it was supposed to be a Crowne Plaza hotel but the owner/developer went bankrupt.

the old apartment block behind the Crowne plaza was also being turned into a boutique hotel (second on the right into Soi 27) also lost momentum at the same time Crown Plaza stopped. Hopefully something can be done to complete them as we don't need another Stonehenge.

I prefer the Sukhumvit Crown, soi 29. Many ghosts there.
