3Rd Koh Phangan Full Moon Marathon 29-30 September

At midnight from 29 to 30 September the 3rd Koh Phangan Full Moon marathon will start.

At 5am, 30th September there will be the start of a quarter marathon and there's also a fun run starting at 05.30am.

Start and finish at the ferry pier in Thong Sala.

With 20-odd k revellers there at the same time all acting like Mr Bean I shudder to think how this will end. Lets hope the starting gun is at least facing a safe direction when discharged....

Please stop referring to using a GUN there is a guy on Samui who will want to know where to get one.

As already mentioned, start/finish is at the ferry pier in Thong Sala, that's a bit of a distance away from Haad Rin.

Unfortunately no news is available what route is being used. For safety of the runners I can hardly imagine that they are led towards the party zone and away again, I would imagine that they will have to run in a different direction, but that's just speculation on my side.

Luckily Phangan is not only Haad Rin and Full Moon Party, so please stop to compare the island to young ravers and junkies. You don't know what you going to miss. ;-)

I believe the marathon is the day before the Full Moon Party.

The Full Moon Party starts the night of Sept 30 and finishes the morning of Oct 1.
