I always use the swift code. Never had a problem.

You have to use the SWIFT code, IBAN does not work in Thailand.

Per above, it is not the same. For Thailand you use the SWIFT code.

I just checked my bank and it clearly states they use BIC. 3 weeks ago i made a succesfull transfer using BIC KASITHBK. And before BKKBTHTK.

KASITHBK is the Kasikorn swift code.

And indeed it' s the same but some foreign banks refer only to swift or BIC which can make things confusing.
