I noticed this new beer while at Tops the other day but, as it was after 2pm, I couldn't buy any to try out. It said it is made in Vietnam, sold exclusively by Tops and a donation is made to a Thai orphanage for every can sold.

Anyone tried it yet? Comparable to...?

I tried one a couple days ago. Not very good, just a cheap beer on par with Natty Ice or Bud Light from the states. I bought and drank it for the kids. The golden can reminded me of Coors.

They are also doing wine, which is ok.

Edit, the charity is Father Joe Maiers Mercy Foundation.

Yes it is OK. The place in Vietnam where it is brewed is the same area the Royal Thai Army Volunteer Division went Ben Cat, which is north west of Ho-Che Min. In the mid 60"s two two Thai Divisions went to Vietnam, The Black Panthers, and the Queens Cobras.
