Culture Minister tours Banglamung flood area

PATTAYA:--Culture Minister Sukumol Kunplome toured Banglamung neighborhoods affected by the latest bout of flooding, promising pumps and flood barriers.

Deputy Mayor Ronakit Ekasingh escorted the minister Sept. 30 through the Thakradan Temple community, which suffered dire consequences from last month’s floods.

More than 50 homes were damaged with water as high 1.5 meters. Many residents have had to move in with relatives or temporary shelter. The Banglamung Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Department, Laem Chabang City Hall and Sawang Boriboon Foundation have all contributed tents, food and supplies for displaced families.
