I also would like to have an answer to your question, and another one: has anybody tried to grow Mexican peppers in Thailand? I would like to know your experience doing that. Can it be done?

Yes we have Japalena peppers growing right now, but w buy all we need from the villa mkt. When I make my stuffed peppers, I keep and dry the seed when I hollow them out! Mark, you should be aboble to smoke peppers, but have to sgoogle for adobo sauce

Never seen them in Thailand. I have looked at many markets. you are lucky if you find regular jalapeno peppers. But smoked... good luck.
