Travel During Non Imm O Extension Under Consideration Period

Featured Replies

I have a Non Imm O visa based on marriage that expires 2-NOV as does the multi-re-entry permit. My application for extension of Non Imm O another year stays under consideration until later at 9-NOV with a stamp in passport to that effect, when I go back to get the extension.

There's a possibility I may need to travel outside Thailand between now and 2-NOV or maybe 7-NOV. I presume if 2-NOV existing reentry permit is OK, but if 7-NOV would need another reentry permit to cover extension consideration period? When coming back, would entry officer stamp me back in unit 9-NOV? Any experience with this anyone please?

Am sure you would need a new re-entry stamp to obtain stamp until 9 Dec as your current re-entry permit was tied to your old date and has that date on it. I would not even feel safe on old re-entry once a new stamp has been made but a recent post indicates immigration would allow up to the old permitted to stay using the old stamp but have not seen any actual reporting of experience that I can recall.

You can get a re-entry permit for the under consideration period. You old re-entry permit would not be valid after your current extension runs out.

.

Yes, unfortunately you have to buy another re-entry permit which will only be valid until your next extension. I used to have to this every year for the under consideration period so that I was always able to travel at short notice and I was once stamped in for only 1 day.
