Pls Advise How To Notify After Moving From Satun To Sisaket

Featured Replies

Dear Expat forum,

I am US citizen currently on retirement extension. It would be most thankful if you could advise me on how to notify the change of address or the stay after I move from Satun to Sisaket province.

I understand there are two papers,

1. Form for aliens to notify their change of address or their stay in the province for over 24 hours ( T.M. 28 )

Question: This form is a MUST or NOT ?

Do I fill out the form and go to the police station in Sisaket town or do I have to go all the way to Phibun Mangsahan Immigration?

Having to notify this within 48 hours, what if I could not make it in time ?

2. Notification form for house-master owner or the possessor of the residence where alien has stayed (not a T.M.)

The landlord does this form correct? at the police station or Phibun Mangsahan immigration?

"The 90 days reporting" if I live in Sisaket province, I have to do the reporting at Phibun Mangsahan Immigration, is this correct?

Your response is most appreciate.

Thanks very much

Ralph

Most immigration offices will just want you to use the new address at there location for your next 90 day address report. 24 hour notification is not normally enforced in todays world of travel (or nobody would have time for anything else) and most homeowners will not bother doing unless a hotel or commercial establishment.

Thanks very much lopburi3, I ought to learn to be more relax in todays world. I only hope the immigration in Phibun is not as rigid as in Satun concerning the notification paperworks. Thank you again.

Your immigration office is not Phibun it is in Amphoe Phu Sing and is called the Sisaket immigration office.

That is the main province office in the deep south on the Cambodian border. There is also an immigration office on the ring road in SiSaket town which may well be closer to you. Opens two days a week - not sure which two as it changed recently.

Aha - found Sirchai's recent update post .... http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/534842-immigration-office-in-sisaket/page__hl__+sisaket%20+immigration%20+office#entry5074706.
