ChiangMai101
Hello fellows Are there any roadside assistance organisations in Chiang Mai? Similar to AA in UK or RAC in Aus I suppose. Any useful info somebody would like to share would be much appreciated. Cheers
Popular Post ThailandBert
Firstly you have to remember this isn't the UK, OZ or USA. I don't know where you are from but me I'm from the UK. Things work a lot different to back where I come from. I have ridden all over Thailand and driven many places and have never been stranded ever. The times I have ran out of fuel on my bike in the middle of nowhere within a few minutes some Thai has stopped, figured out what the problem is and ridden off only to return a little while later with a plastic container of fuel. Another time when the bike blew a piston 300 kms from home again within a few minutes a truck had stopped, again figured out the bike was kaput and with a bit of rearranging of his load manhandled the bike onto his lorry. He then took me to my door and wouldn't accept a satang for doing so. I once got a puncture in a car i had rented and it turned out the jack was no good. again within a couple of minutes a Thai had stopped on his bike. had a look to see the problem then rode off only to come back a few minutes later with a huge trolley jack. He then proceeded to change the tyre and again wouldn't accept any money. back home if you break down if you are not in the AA or RAC then it is a very expensive exercise or you could wait for some help for hours if not days. here no need to worry as help is never far away
harrry
Short answer is there is. THere is http://www.mondial-a...individuals.htm or http://www.cwc.co.th/cwc/index.php As well as this Toyota offer it but probably charge and BQuick will give some if you have had your vehicle serviced there in the last few months.l Tere is also a Thai automobile association which provides it to members but I believe only in Bangkock but I could be wrong. They may give reciprocal benefits for overseas club members. Edited October 23, 2012 by harrry

ThailandBert
No problem. As I say motoring here is nothing like back home. A helping hand is never far away even in the middle of nowhere
