TanjaB Posted February 5, 2006 Posted February 5, 2006 Our first visa run is coming up, and we had planned to hop on a coach, cross the Cambodian border and return the same day- with a 90-day extension on our Non-B (hubby)& Non-O (me) visa's. However, the other day my husband was told by a colleague, that all we'd get on re-entry would be a 30-day extension, and that we'd have to stay out of the country for at least 2-3 days to get the full 90-days, as this takes time to process. Very confused .I thought all that would happen is that the Immigration officer has a look at our passports and visa and then stamps it, just like it happened at the airport when we arrived. Help please!!!! Also, other than our passports, do we need to show any other paperwork at the border?
lopburi3 Posted February 5, 2006 Posted February 5, 2006 Your friend was thinking you needed to obtain new visas and that would be a trip to a Consulate, day wait and then return. As long as you have multi entry visas all you need to do is cross the border, enter other country and return to obtain a new 90 day stay as long as the visa expiration date has not passed. Just be sure you have multi entry type visas.

As long as you have a multi entry visa and you are entering Thailand before it expires. You get a fresh 90 days. I have seen this even on a 90 day multi entry visa that was granted at a Embassy. On a one year multi entry visa, no problem, as long as you enter Thailand before the year visa expires. www.lawyer.th.com
