Ritzy Jomtien Condos Reflecting Badly On Builder

PATTAYA:--The Pattaya provincial court has ordered a halt to the luxury Reflection condominium project on Jomtien Beach Road. The two high-rise towers under construction have created excess dust, noise, and deafening pile-driving that cracked nearby building walls and roads, neighboring businesses complained.

PATTAYA – October 27, 2012 [PDN]; a reporter received a complaint about inconsiderate builders of a luxury Jomtien Beach condominium project. Making the complaint was Ms. Surassawadee Saejeang, the secretary of Mr. Bandit Siritanyong, the chairman of administration committee of Saladaeng group, and also representing its neighbor, the Suttangrak restaurant on Jomtien Beach.

The inconsiderate builders of the Reflection project are not following standard construction practices to alleviate disruption to neighbors, she said. There has been no water spraying to clean the dust on the ground. Also, the construction has proceeded well into the night, with loud noise from the site disturbing people and making so much trouble for people in the area. The thunderous drilling of foundation piles has also caused the wall of the restaurant building to collapse, and created cracks in the roads, she said.

Somehow I think they got past the pile-driving stage months ago. In fact they seem to be at the finishing stage.

It's true that there is a lot of mess in the road around that area, but I think that much of that comes from the drainage works going on near La Royale and that the deviation in the road causes drivers to use a dirt track instead.

I'm not sure what's worse:

- the building works that disturb the neighbors

OR

- no building work happening

choices, choices...
