Chiang Mai Movie Shops Closed

Featured Replies

Visited several movie shops today, and ALL were closed! (Yes, I am a movie junkie!!) This was the west side of town. My guess is that this is another governmental copyright hit squad raid. I hear that the American ambassador is due in town. Perhaps the exercise was done in her honor --- just in case she wants to go out and buy a chick flick!

Please advise when the smoke clears!! I worry about the onset of withdrawal symptoms! sad.png

I don't know why they even bother. Illegal downloading is much more of a problem and there does not seem to be anything the forces of copyright enforcement can do to stop it.

While living in another country, we always knew when the surprise raids were coming because all the movies shops cleared their shelves 2 days before.
