Looking For A Printer Of Card Decks

Featured Replies

Hello,

I'm looking for a company here in Thailand that PRINTS Card Decks...

Like a Poker Card Deck with 52 cards.

Have found many printers in China but no luck yet for a printer in Thailand.

Your help is appreciated.

Thanks...

Found this in a search of TV

anyone have a company in thailand that can print 50-100 decks of USA style Poker cards

or a China company that would print that small of an order.......

or I guess even any surrounding country

maybe a few diffurent designs of the front and 50-100 of each design//////

I believe printing of Playing Cards in Thailand is a Monopoly held by a Government Organisation so it's doubtful you will find a private Printer.

Thailand is one of if not the largest producer of playing cards in the world. It supplies the cards in most casinos. You need to have a licence as a casino etc for them too print cards for yo and in general cards are not permitted in Thailand except I believe 2 packs for private use on which tax has been paid.

I've been here over 40 years and never even imagined that Thailand was a / the major Printer of Playing Cards worldwide.

Another "Hub" for Thailand I guess but definitely something one would never have thought of.

OH well......if anyone has any non Thai contacts let me know.....

but if it is illegal to print them is it illegal to import too ?

actually printing is easy , its having the steel rule die to cut the sheet into cards .

and speaking of that any steel rule die shops around town ?

Interestingly playing cards are listed as prohibited items for mailing to Thailand per the US Postal Service

Country Conditions for Mailing — Thailand

Prohibitions (130)

Coins; banknotes; currency notes (paper money); traveler’s checks; securities payable to bearer; platinum, gold or silver (manufactured or not); precious stones; jewelry; and other valuable articles.

Firing caps and charged metal cartridges for small arms and non-explosive parts of artillery fuses.

Playing cards.

Restrictions

Firearms, air guns, and their accessories, require special authorization from the Government; however, toy air guns for children as well as firearms and air guns kept exclusively as curios may be imported without permit.

Without permission, yes, it's illegal to import them. See post #4 above.

WOW , I better not have any in my suitcases because I could end up in JAIL .....

So I am sure that has stopped all card games in Thailand ,

Good Job < The Thais have solved another problem :)

Playing cards availiable from every 7/11 allbeit at a bargain 15 to 20 $ a pack ;(
