Need Help Translating A Few Sentences

Featured Replies

I have a couple of sentences which I simply cannot work out the meaning of. I understand (most) of the words, but can't figure out what the sentences mean. Any help would be much appreciated.

ผมเสียใจและผมมีปัญหากับหัวหน้าที่ทำงาน (I think this means: I'm sorry, I have to head off to work).

ถ้าผมมาผมจะโชว์เบอร์โทรศัพท์ไปนะ (If I come, I will ???? phone)

และผมอยากให้คุณคบกับฉันต่อไป

Thanks in advance for any translations.

Sentence 1: I am sorry, I have a problem with my boss at work.

Sentence 2: If I come I will "show phone number to call". (not sure of the part in quotes "show" seems to be the English word show in Thai script)

Sentence 3: And I want to see you another time ( I am a little iffy on this one also)

I think there's a missing "and" in the translation of sentence 1. "I'm sorry, and I (too?) have a problem with my boss at work".

"โชว์เบอร์โทรศัพท์" is used in connection with unhiding the caller ID.

I suspect that the writer is not a native Thai speaker - far too many pronouns for it to sound natural.

I'm sorry (but not in an apologizing sense, more like, sorry this has happened, sorry for your loss..) and have a problem with my boss.

If i will come I will show the telephone number (show the number, you dont need to answer)

And i want to be 'friends' with you, (could mean more than)

obviously the previous conversation would help.

Just showed the missus, she said sounds like a thai guy writing, not farang

^^^^^^, if its a Thai guy writing, why in the third line was กับฉัน used.

คบ appears to be the key word in this sentance,

และผมอยากให้คุณคบกับฉันต่อไป And I want us to carry on as friends (may or maynot be romantically involved).

Like in most thai songs 'chan' can be asexual, but I've never seen/heard 'phom' used to by a female

I could be wrong of course!

... but I've never seen/heard 'phom' used to by a female

I guess you don't know too many butch Thai lesbians then.

laugh.png strangely enough, no I don't...

Ok, thanks. These are just general sentences I've read (online, etc.) and couldn't find a translation for them.

I'm positively surprised that the google translations are so good (at least for translating Thai at MY LEVEL).

Thanks again!
