petedk
You guys in Phuket are lucky. A month or so ago we had a blackout and after 45 minutes or so I went outside to talk to the neighbours to see if it was our house or the whole neighbourhood. They all had blackouts too. We called the electricity board only to be informed that they had driven around the area, a few days ago, in a van with speakers announcing the upcoming blackout. Spent the whole day without having a decent shower and couldn't flush the toilets (electric water pump didn't work).
