February 13, 200620 yr I would be grateful if any one could help with these following questions. I have a UK ltd company, I would like to use the money within the UK Ltd company to purchase property in Thailand. I would like to use the money from the UK Ltd company not personally. Is it possible for A UK Ltd company to purchase land, property or condos in Thailand under the UK company name, I would also like a Investment type visa so that i only have to leave the country every year if possible Any suggestions would be helpful. I will be in Thailand in 10 weeks time so will take this matte up with a local solicitor company when there, I would like some pointers in the mean time. Thank you in advance
February 13, 200620 yr I do not think you can use a "Foreign" legal entity to own property in Thailand with some exceptions ie Amity Treaty/US Company or BOI investment (someone will know better than me) This is why some people go through hoops to set up and operate Thai LTD's to own their own house. If it was easy as having a UK Ltd a lot of people would have done this already.
February 14, 200620 yr Why do you want to purchase property here ? It is one of the least transparent property markets I have ever seen...........? Condos have already seen the best growth so you would in effect be buying right at the peak of the market if not on the downward leg!! There are far more promising emerging markets in other parts of te world !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
February 14, 200620 yr Maybe the OP was just looking at a way of owning a property where he controlled the company owning it and not for investment.
