Is It Possible To Get Extension Of Stay For A Double-Entry Tourist Visa ?

Featured Replies

I have got a double-entry tourist visa. I want to ask this : When the length of stay in Thailand given for the second one ends, am I able to get an extension to it at the Bangkok immigration ? If so, for how long and what is the fee ?

If possible, I don't want to leave the country and come back again. It is tiring. If I can get an extension of stay of 3-4 weeks at the Bangkok Immigration, that would be great.

Cheers.

You can extend each entry by 30 days at a fee of 1,900 baht each.

Both entries can be extended for 30 days, cost 1900 baht. On entry you will get 60 days, that can be extended for 30 days at immmigration for 1900 baht. You must then exit/reenter. On entry you get another 60 days which can be extended for 30 more, 1900 baht. Both entries must be made on or before the "must enter by" date on the visa. When that's finished you must exit and either get a new visa or do a visa exempt entry, 15 days by land, 30 days by air.

Thanks A LOT, folks. I am glad I posted here about this. What I assumed was that because I have a double-entry tourist visa, the Bangkok Immigration wouldn't give me an extension on the first one (ie. they would tell me to leave the country and use the second part of my visa and come back) but that I might only get an extension on the second one.

So, you are certain that the procedure is like you wrote, right ?

Thanks a lot.

You will get 30 day Extensions on both entries.

Yes that is the procedure if you want to use it.
