PATTAYA:--CCTV operators from Pattaya City Hall alerted Pattaya Police to three men who were attempting to destroy the famous Pattaya City Sign on the Pratamnuk Hill on Tuesday Morning.

Police rushed to the location and were able to catch one of the three men after two of them sped off in a car which could not be located despite a search by other Police units in the area.

The arrested man, Khun Gesadar aged 24, was very drunk and could not be interviewed by Police. As he was being transported to the Police Station he was verbally abusive towards officers and attempted to attack one officer despite being handcuffed.

An inspection of the sign revealed significant damage to lights and the CCTV cameras covering the sign and surrounding area.

So two very drunk men in a car managed to escape from the police (many on motorbikes) in an urban area? Only in a movie or Thailand can that happen
