BTW Jimmy ...that is cloth Dyer not cloth drier..the tin is full of dye and water which is being heated...he uses the little Japanese hand drum to alert customers.

Not all roads are dirt or cement... this is heading to the rice paddy, because too wet to drive. Songklha Province.

That is a truly lovely shot, villagefarang. It captures the mountain roads of Thailand, perfectly. It just makes a biker want to get on the scoot and RIDE!

In contrast to City traffic, this road / track in northern Songkhla rice growing area, near Ranot, always reminds me of parts of the Canadian Prairies... flat !

This was about 10 kms in from the main road... This is where the Thai Buffalo roam, depending on time of year ! The canal network provides alternate way to get from A to B, plus used flooding rice paddies.

Definitely a road less traveled!
