I've just completed (on 26th) by annual Visa 1 year extension based on a Thai (legal) marriage.

This year for the first time they required the marriage registry document KR2 along with the marriage certificate.

According to the official it is because someThai marriage cerificates provided by Lao nationals have proved to be fake.

All other documents remain the same as before.

This has been a requirement for a long time now, nothing new.

The Kor Ror 2 is to prove that you are still married.

I think all immigration offices are asking for it now. I was asked for it for the first time this year at Phibun.

My visa extension was REFUSED, you figure out location. Previous I has a print-out of marriage status from Ampur. No good anymore. Have a nerve wreaking experience.

marriage within the last 10 years ill be entered into the database and thus the khor rhor 2 form can be gotten from any amphur. Being married for a longer time often indeed means you have to go to the actual amphur where the marriag tok place. But believe you can ask them to put the marriage in the database, so in future you can get the form from any amphur.

And have seen reports of marriage from much longer being obtained by fax from Takhli and then entered into data base for future. Have wife call amphur if not close and see if that can not be arranged.

Same here @ UTIO, a subistute was for Kor Ror 2 has been accepted for the past 24 years here. + Marriage certificate + normal ever-changing requirement. Lopburi as you know TiT, unless a physical visit – Fax – Email – Call, never can be sure.

My wife picket up her-my 2 at Ampur @ BKK, b4 holidays, and a medical certifate was required + 6 photos with a a open gate to my house must show the roof also.

I got 1 year under consideration, + 4 other forms I signed never seen b4, and least more 100 papers. Bye bye alot beers. Have a Nice Day
