We have just recently moved to Chiang Rai. I have five children aged 10, 8, 8, 7 and 4. Whilst we are very happy with our new home life, the kids really need to make a few friends and I never see any young families in Chiang Rai (apart from those traveling through). I am home schooling the kids as I cannot afford the International School and so this is proving the difficulty in finding friends. Anybody out there got any suggestions?

No kids in Chiang Rai?? There's tens of thousands of them.

Are you referring to English-speaking kids, white kids, white, English-speaking kids, American kids, Christian kids. A bit more specific might help.

My kids learned to speak Thai when we came to Thailand.

My son didn't have any friends when he only spoke English,

but when he learned to speak Thai his world opened up.
