Can I Extend 60 Day Tourist Visa In Any Immigration Office?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I am on a 60 day tourist visa and would like to extend it by 30 days.

Can I get this done in any immgration office, e. g. in Chiang Rai or in Nongkhai?

And I need to do this within the last 30 days of the current validity, is that correct?

Cheers, Farrol

Yes and Yes :)

You need to visit your 'local' immigration office for wherever you're staying, don't leave it until the last minute, you won't lose any validity by extending early.

Yes - normally most would do in last week for a tourist visa entry but believe most will allow earlier. You fill out a TM.7 form with current 4x6cm photos and 1,900 baht fee - copies of passport data page/visa/entry/departure card will likely be required.
