Malaysia Airlines Arrival

Featured Replies

Next month I have (elderly) friends arriving in Bangkok from Kuala Lumpur.

I'm contemplating booking fast track service with golf cart for them since they arrive from Europe via KL and they will most certainly be very tired.

However if MH arrives at a gate close to the immigration this would be a waste of money at least as far as the golf cart is concerned.

So, any of you members know what concourse and/or gate MH usually docks ?

Thanks beforehand wai.gif

What about wheelchair service? I just did that with my mother. Took her to a special lane for elderly people (and others, but can't remember the requirements). Only 2 people in front of us. And it was free!!

Thanks Craig,

The problem is that my friend is much to proud to be seen in a wheelchair. He's ex career military and would rather crawl.

Anyway that would involve him doing the request to the airline, and what I'm planning is supposed to be a surprise.

Thanks again !

That is a very nice thing to do Yermanee.

Two suggestions:

1. You could ask Malaysian Airlines where they‘ll arrive.

2. You will have to book the golf cart with someone. This will either be the airline or a meet-and-greet service. You could ask before booking.

My neighbor uses the fast track service all the time. It's really not that expensive. He says it's the only way to go. Meet you at the gate and zip you right through.

You'll probably have to let your friends know somehow, otherwise they might miss the sign with their name????

Thanks,

1) Have emailed them, and no reply.

2) I will be booking the fast track with BFS (Bangkok Flight Services). They have 2 prices i.e. with or without golf cart. BFS also assists in collecting luggage and escorting to limousine.

Thanks,

It's a nice thing to do at little expense for a good friend. They are always there for me also.

The wife is in on the surprise and she knows how to keep a secret.

Cheers and thanks again.

1.) Try calling them at +66 2 2506568-74. I just tried but I guess they are on lunchbreak.

2.) Interesting, as MH is not in their list of customers.

Their Fast Track service has nothing to do with their ground handling services for airlines.

See details here : http://www.bangkokflightservices.com/PremiumAirportServices.php

This is a service to any passenger of any airline who's willing to pay for the privilege.

They even offer lounge access for a price.

Might be of interest for other members also.

Good to know. ;-)

(I could open the website without problems.)

I just talked to MH, and they said the gate changes often, and I should check with the airport at the day of arrival.

There you go. As the service includes more than a golf cart from the gate to immigration, you might want to take the "risk" that the arrival gate is not too far from the immigration counters.

Hi Tom,

Thanks for the trouble.

My wife phoned them also and they claimed MH arrives at concourse B and my wife accepted that at face value.

Off course she doesn't know that A and B are for domestic flights only.

Shows you how much interest these people have in the company they work for.

Anyway I experienced the same attitude at other airlines also and not only in Thailand.

Think I will go ahead and book the dam_n thing with electric cart anyway.

I'm also surprised that no TV members actually fly MH.

Thanks again for your trouble

Thanks!!!! Would have been great for that trip last year when we waited almost 1.5 hours to get through immigration....don't really need the cart as the legs need a bit of workout after sitting so long! biggrin.png

Most welcome. After they have arrived, please let us know whether everything went flawlessly.

I used to have a Fast Track Card. It cost THB 4,000 and was valid for one year. But it has expired, and now they only offer the meet-and-greet services as mentioned by Yermanee, which becomes expensive if you fly twice a month, so it's not an option for me. :(
