Land Owner Ship For Thais Different Papers

I am trying to understand about land papers for Thais .

From what I know hope some one can explained it to me.

First a Thai is given the rights to farm the land given them they get papers from the govt. and then after 10 years they get the full papers and ownership if they are actually working the land.

Can this land be sold in the 10 year process?

This is my little understanding more than likely wrong so if some one can clarify or explained the processes for a Thai

Thanks for the info good reading, as I was reading about the Chanote there is a note that says if a squatter is on the land for 10 years they can claim rights to that land even if a another thai holds the Chanote for that land. Am I reading that correct?
