While I agree that the Obamas exhibit class, decorum and civility, he did not deserve that Nobel. He continued to pursue American pre-emptive wars on Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Libya and covert operations against Pakistan, Somalia and Yemen. Some he inherited, yes, but some he started. Libya under Gaddafi was a jewel among Arab countries. Gaddafi was a dictator and Libya was a police state. But...owning a home was a fundamental human right baked into Libya's constitution, state-sponsored utilities including petrol, free secular education, universal healthcare, zero-interest loans (one of the best features of Islam IMO), a $50k gift to each newly-married couple (no, I don't know if this works with four wives), good universities, symphony orchestras. Libya had NO debt and $150 billion in reserves. Yes, Libya did commit terrorism but to kill a sovereign leader (America's specialty and to destroy a country with such promise was such a waste, and on Obama's watch. We could have used diplomacy to help Libyans. Maybe this was (again) all about stealing their oil. What I found particularly offensive was the murder of Osama Bin Laden. He was old and sick and outgunned. They didn't need to kill him and his family. The rule of law is that an accused is returned for a fair trial. They murdered him in revenge to satisfy the bloodlust of the American people and Hillary chortled in the Situation Room watching it. To laugh at anyone's death is beneath contempt.
