Riverside, skybreeze, twin Peaks Or Hillside 4 Condotel

Featured Replies

Have been thinking of buying a condo, living in it for 6 months and then look for a house and rent out the condo.

I am new to this, do you think a studio,1 or 2 bed will be more popular to rent. Also which would you buy in with a view to renting out.

Riverside,Skybreeze,Twin Peaks or Hillside 4 Condotel.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Seem like quite a lot of foreigner wanted to buy and rent out.....wonder if there're many people looking for rent in CM?

Renting to foreigner will be usually short term, if longer term they prefer to buy instead.

Renting to local Thai will be worker who works in CM, don't think they can afford or want to pay anything above 7000 baht a month.

So, is it a good business to buy condo for rental income??

From our experience riverside condo is not so popular; the other 3 are easier to rent out because of the location. Smaller units are easier to rent as big ones, if you look at our site you see all cheap (small) are rented; the big ones are empty. If you invest the first time in a condo you should start with a small unit. http://www.buyrentchiangmai.com

Smaller units generally have a percentage rate of return. Note that there are an aweful lot of condos being built in CM, when online will the demand fill them?

`Thank you for your replies, thought I might have had more feedback on which block is favoured. I suppose when you buy a condo it is leasehold like the UK and the freeholder insures it. Anybody know the normal lease period, maybe 999 or 125 same as UK. Can any body else say which block is preferable Riverside,Skybreeze,Twin Peaks or Hillside 4 condotel

which one would you like to live in?

I think that Twin Peaks is in decline and over priced, There is a lot of construction nearby and I would wait for Shine or the new construction next to Peaks Garden.

Hillside 4 is always in demand and affordable
