Can ne 1 help, i would like to know what is the age limit for a farang to obtain a work permit through a government school in Thailand.

I don't think that there is one.

I've been told that the age limit is 55. However, like most rules in Thailand, it's applied selectively.

It always seems strange that lower paid Asians retire at 55, it is the same in Malaysia,

but Westerners have to plod on until 65.

My children school farang teacher seem to be over 60, I think the qualification is more important than age. Why not make an inquiry with the school where you intent to teach.
