Popular Post Ron19
This is our Marian Plum tree at home and I estimate there are 50 fruit on there.Fruit of this size and quality are selling for 100 baht per kilo at the local markets so there would be between 400 and 500 bahts worth on the tree. There would be no chance of these ones getting to market though. We have another 5 trees at our other property that have fruit on but the trees are a year younger than the one here.

Popular Post nuananddon
Great pix, if more of the TV people could experience this type of life style maybe they would appreciate the Thai farmers and what these hard working people put on everyone's table each mealtime. Thailand sure does have a great selection of good food and it doesn't start at Big C , Tesco, or Macro. Hats off to you and your farm Friends

Popular Post shaggy1969
A couple more photos from the allotments. Top right in this photo is one of 6 new water towers in the town, near to every water tower is a well with a metered pump that is accessible to the local farmers so they can take water whenever the need. Limited of course on how far the water hoses stretch too Just behind the old dear harvesting her greens is one of the pumps and meters. I do have a better photo somewhere, when I find it I will post it

Hi xen Lol,yes they do look a strange don't they,I think I prefer the old style towers like in Ron's photo.....still it's nice to see that money is being spent in a good way and benefiting the locals. The gardens are kind of community gardens, but only for group 12.Our town is split into 16 different groups and group 12 were fortunate enough to have their land near a local reservoir. Popular Post Robby nz
Paddy flattened by the thunder storm two days back. The farmer who was taking his pump back home told me it could still be harvested. Would think it would have to be done quickly before it starts to rot. But here comes the harvester so it should be OK.

Popular Post shaggy1969
Wonderful photos guys ^^^ Those strawberries look delicious I got these photos today from Mrs Shaggy,by the sounds of it our area got pummeled by by the storm also. Luckily our trees were strong enough to take the storm but our neighbour lost about 20 of his young trees Our trees looking strong and healthy and still have green leaves compared to the older working trees that are still wearing their Autumn coats, the rain should of done them the world of good, not long before it will be time to tap them again. Couldn't resist adding one of the Gaffer and his new ride.....looks like I maybe needing some contact numbers from RBH in the future for some Quad dealers Many thanks to the much better half for the photos

Just a curiosity thing,Is there anyone out there that can tell me what sought of tonnage these truck and trailer units are pulling. That Rot poo-wng will have about 15 ton on each trailer some say as much as 20 ton per trailer ,not certain if that is true, but way over the legal weight. About as much meat as my pushbike. I think its because of the poor quality feed they eat.Put them in a paddock with quality feed such as clover and ryegrass then you would find a different story.
