southeastsun
Bluetongue, incredible pics, very foreign to my current situation, but a highly enviable lifestyle indeed. Which fruits are in your pictures? What type of trees are you watering? To me it looks like grapes, kiwi, and I don't know... lol. Do grapes even grow in Thailand? (shows you how much I don't know) southeastsun Edited December 8, 2014 by southeastsun

(shows you how much I don't know) southeastsun These are lamyai, sometimes called longan especially in the west. They grow in bunches and when they are 3/4 of an inch or a bit more in diameter that is a very good size. It has a tough brown skin, sweet white flesh and a black seed about the size of a pea. I'll post some pictures of some ripe ones in a week or two. Ideally each bunch has about 30 fruit. Grapes are grown in Thaialnd I don't know where I suspect most of what you see in the market and shops is from China as I have seen boxes marked in Chinese. Here are some ripe ones from earlier, the last one a bit too ripe you can see them busting open.

David48
Come Harvest time ... we use a lot of ice. We ice down the catch, be it Fish or Shrimp/Prawns so that they can be delivered fresh to the Wholesaler.
